Thomas Mical is Professor of Theory in Architecture, educated at Harvard and Georgia Tech. His design research examines the range of meanings and senses forming the complexity of conceived, perceived, and lived spaces. His research in architectural theory examines how concepts are formed, transformed, and disperse into architecture and the wider sensorium. Thomas Mical is Professor of Architectural Theory. He was in the NEH Summer Institute on modernity in Delhi in 2011, was with the Future Institute in 2012, and has published in Sarai and other journals globally. He has held fellowships at the Architectural Association (UK), London School of Economics (UK), and DAAD and Fulbright (Germany). He edited Surrealism and Architecture (Routledge. He has taught 50 design studios and has been a tenured professor in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
